Friday, Aug 20th
3-9pm Registration at Campground (Welcome Gift Bag)
Meet & Greet with Bonfire
Tea/Coffee/Water will be provided all weekend
Saturday, Aug 21st
8-10am Breakfast Supplied (menu yet to be determined).
10am Get set up for rides available (during the routes, stop for lunch – your cost).
12pm – 3pm For those who have stayed at the campground, swimming, games, entertainment & laughs. We will have munchies, sandwiches, etc. so you won’t get hungry.
5pm Start up the BBQ and some good old Nova Scotian hospitality (I know you Ontario members are drooling thinking of those mussels)
7pm Trophies, Awards, Commentaries, Toasts, etc.
8pm Entertainment and the Parting really begins…. ALL NIGHT LONG.
Entertainment – at this point we are expecting to have a Live Band along with a Bonfire which will eventually turn into the Kitchen Party of the year once the Band needs to “quiet down”. Then the talented CMC members with their instruments will come out to shine.
Sunday, Aug 22nd
8 – 11am Breakfast Provided at the Campground
11am Members say their goodbyes… with lots of hugs and promises to see each other again soon.
CAMPING
INCLUDED in Registration. Juniper Campground, 20 minutes outside Halifax. We have the availability of this Private Campground that is on a lake with a wharf and dock for swimming. As this is a private facility there is not the convenience of a “canteen/supply” store, however we will have a “runner” at the site to go get anything that you require once at the campground. WE will ensure that most necessities are provided … ice, etc…. We will make sure that we accommodate you (within the law).
You will not have to book a site with a campground, but upon registration you will be required to let us know that you need a place to plunk your tent. There are limited sites with power so first come first served.
HOTELS
Sorry, not free. We have 2 hotels on line now, with a couple of more that will be added to the list.
Stardust Motel (7km from Ground Zero) 1791 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Timberlea. 1-866-876-2301. This has 21 new units, very nice motel. Rooms $99/$109. State that you are with CMC.
Lakeview Inns & Suites 98 Chain Lake Dr., Halifax (12km) can check out this hotel online $129. This includes a hot; all you can eat buffet breakfast. Very nice hotel. 1-877-355-3500. Next door to Tim Horton’s, Wendy’s and a Family Restaurant. State that you are with CMC.
These hotels are on the direct road to the Campground. We will add other hotels in the area in the upcoming week. Not all have been contacted. We will have several links added as well to tourism, other hotels, etc… in the very near future.
SHUTTLE:
We will be providing transportation to – from the campground on Saturday evening or Sunday morning if you need to be picked up to be brought back to your bike at the campground. This will ensure that you all can enjoy the Kitchen Party and have as many Kool-aids that you want. AND we will be having some of that PEI shine that our CMC 004 members seem to like so much.
